MVP and Rapid Software Development
I help startups and growing businesses bring their ideas to life through fast, cost-effective Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) and software prototypes.
I have extensive experience across embedded systems, backend, and frontend development, enabling me to design and build scalable solutions that fit your budget, timeline, and vision.
What is an MVP?
A Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) is an early version of a product that includes just enough features to be used by real customers. This approach lets you test your concept, gather feedback, and refine your direction - before committing to full-scale development.
By focusing on rapid iteration and user validation, I can often deliver a working prototype in days, not months, helping you move faster and reduce risk.
My Process
Every project starts with understanding your business, not just your feature list. From there, I typically move through four stages:
- Discovery • we talk through what you need the site to do, who it's for, and where you want to be able to make changes yourself.
- Build • I develop the application, keeping you updated at key milestones rather than disappearing until launch.
- Refinement • Based on feedback, I enhance the product and prepare for the next phase.
- Handover • I walk you through how to manage your own content, and make sure you're confident using it before I step back.
This lean, feedback-driven process ensures you get a functional product that evolves with your vision.
Why self-manageable matters
A website that only your developer can update isn't really yours - it's a recurring bill. That's why I build systems with content management included from the start: editable text blocks, simple forms and admin panels that make sense to someone who isn't a programmer.
The result is a site you can actually run. Update a price, publish a new page, tweak a form, without opening a support ticket. I'm still here when you need me for bigger changes, but day-to-day control stays with you.
Typical Timeline
Most projects reach a working prototype within 1–2 weeks of kickoff, depending on complexity. From there, we iterate together until it's ready for a full demo and potentially a move into production.
Pricing
I bill hourly and only for work completed, no fixed-scope contracts. That keeps things flexible as requirements evolve once you're looking at a working prototype instead of a spec. Fixed scope contracts often include additional buffers to accommodate for scope creep that occurs once development has started.
