This document clarifies how user data and any sensitive information is handled within the application.
User Provided Information
When you use the Application, you generally provide a folder location, a username and password. This information is stored in encrypted form locally on the device on which the Application is installed and is never relayed back to Schimera Pty Ltd
If errors occur while using the Application, an error log may be logged to the device filesystem, but it is not automatically sent to Schimera Pty Ltd for review.
This error log contains anonymous data, such as hardware information, operating system version and any error description that may help identify the problem. This is the only form of user provided information Schimera Pty Ltd has access to if the report is sent to Apple.
The app is a WebDAV server that listens on a user defined port for incoming connections from the local network.
Users that connect can read/write files within the shared folder locations
The application shares one or more local folders on the Mac via the WebDAV protocol. Using a WebDAV client the user can read, modify and delete files in the folder they have selected.
We do not use the Application to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that his or her child has provided us with information without their consent, he or she should contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We will delete such information from our files within a reasonable time.
We are concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. We provide physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect information we process and maintain. For example, we limit access to this information to authorized employees and contractors who need to know that information in order to operate, develop or improve our Application. Please be aware that, although we endeavour provide reasonable security for information we process and maintain, no security system can prevent all potential security breaches.
If you have any questions regarding privacy while using the Application, or have questions about our practices, please contact us via email at email@example.com
